Hey hey!! This percussion set rings through to my heart, especially being that my parents and our family are from Puerto Rico. As a kid we always traveled to PR to visit my grandmother and cousins, we’d go to church in the evening and I would see the kids holding their own tambourines or as we in Puerto Rico called them panderetas! My father ended up taking me to a music store while in Puerto Rico and bought me my first Pandereta. I was so proud to have my own instrument that I could practice rhythm with and sing along with while in church. I asked my dad if he could find something similar for Santino and Dante from Puerto Rico on his last trip and he came home with this Parranda Kit!

A parranda is a Puerto Rican traditional time of the year where family and friends go from home to home playing holiday songs also called aguinaldos or villancicos using this style of instruments when visiting family for food, drinks, and of course music!
